Uninvited guests!

I just discovered that I'm not the only one living in this apartment, even if I am the only one paying rent. I found a perhaps 30 baby cockroaches living on top of the lid of a saucepan in the kitchen. There were a couple bigger ones, too, but they looked either dead or very unhealthy.

Ugh. I flushed them all (or nearly all), but who knows if that really kills them? I think I saw a sign saying something about fumigaciĆ³n as I was entering the building for the first time, but I was a bit distracted at that moment so I didn't read it very carefully.

Cockroaches are nasty (not a very original statement there), but I suppose I can live with them for a few weeks. My concern is that I don't want to take them with me when I leave this apartment. I need to think about this a little more....

  • Hi Paul!!
Cockroaches??? Hmmmm... I know why they are living with you right now... well... have you read what Jix has written down? Have you read the song?... I remember one day in Paltalk...lol you sang that song (I guess you became famous among cockroaches!!!!! LOL).
By the way... hi Kay, Jix and Sakura (those are the ones I think I know...) and sorry if I make mistakes... remember I'm still studying lol (I thought Athena was the goddess of wisdom lol I chose the wrong nickname...)
I hope you enjoy your time in Argentina (don't lose your accent ok?? you know, you have to say "thierto" not "sierto"... that's the way we speak in Spain LOL). Take care :) Muaksssssss. Bye!!!

  • Think of it this way: By coping with the roaches, you'll extend your vocabulary--you may even learn some new four-letter words.

    Te echo de menos.

  • So, are they still alive? I hope they're not.
Umm.. come to think of it, cockroaches can make good company. ;)

  • What opportunities are you having to use your Spanish? Are you rid of your uninvited guests? Are you using public transportation to get around? What's that like?
